What is blue light?

- The risk of macular degeneration can increase blue light damage cells in the retina sensitive to light.
- Increases eye fatigue: this type of high-energy wave has more dispersion than other visible light waves, and for this reason, it is more difficult to focus, so our eyes must work more, which causes fatigue.
It can lead to insomnia – actually, depending on how you look at it, this can be a benefit or a disadvantage of exposure to blue light. As we have discussed in the services, blue light regulates the sleep-wake rhythm. When our retina perceives blue light, it sends a message to the brain to keep us awake. The problem comes when we are receiving blue light at night (if we use screens before sleeping) since our brain interprets that it is not time to sleep, and when we’re at the bed, “No one blinks our eye.”
